A day out at Hafren
Hafren Furnishers located in the town
of Llanidloes in Powys, has an enviable reputation which has spread far and wide, with satisfied customers returning from all over Wales and England...
Brothers Tim and Paul Morgan run the business, with their sister Charlotte working in the showroom. Their mother Anna Morgan
is the proprietor and has been integral to the family business since it’s inception. Their father Mike Morgan (known fondly as ‘Mike the milk) – who sadly passed away in 2017 – started Hafren Furnishers 54 years ago buying and selling the odd piece of furniture from his milk float while delivering milk from his family farm. A turning point was when he did a whole furniture house clearance, Mike made the decision to move into the furniture business for good. This was considered a bold move in those days - to diversify from farming.
In the hands of his wife and children, Mike’s legacy is still at
the forefront of the business today. Mike genuinely cared about customers, always putting them first. Like Mike, the brothers adopt a hands on-approach, directly involved in all aspects of the business and endeavour to engage with the customers in the showroom on a daily basis.
They still deliver anywhere in England and Wales free of charge
– a big part of their customer service – and can take away old furniture, including mattresses and all the packaging. With considerable warehousing in the town, it’s likely free delivery can be arranged immediately. The 5 delivery teams are out on the road constantly.
